Digital
Image Repair and Photo Restoration is more Art than Science!
Contrary
to popular belief, digital image restoration and photo repair is not about
some kind of computer magic. It's about art ... and hard work. A century
ago, families went to their local photographer and had a portrait taken.
The photographer developed the prints, the family chose the one(s) they
liked best, and they had copies made from negatives. Families would often
then have a local artist recreate the photos as an oil or watercolor on
canvas for display in their home. This is much like what we do with digital
photo restoration. Working from an original photo or print, our computer
artists "recreate" your photo and transform it back to it's
original state, or we can manipulate and change it to be something different
than it was originally. Either way, our computer artists use our state-of-the-art
computer software as our "oil, brush, and canvas" to perform
the task of restoring, enhancing or repairing your photo ... there is
not really any computer magic involved at all, just artistry, using computers
as artist's tools.
